Mason grew up in Vermont, where keeping the heat on through a long winter teaches you to take energy seriously. Two years ago he moved to Connecticut after watching electric bills here climb higher every year — he wanted to help families do something about it.
Before he ever sat down at a kitchen table, Mason put himself through months of intense training — roof design, utility rates, financing, the fine print most people never see — because he believes a homeowner deserves real answers, not a rehearsed pitch. If solar doesn't make sense for your home, he'll tell you that too.
So far, 72 families have chosen to go solar with Mason — 52 of them in 2025 alone, nearly half a megawatt of clean power now running on their rooftops. Most of them come away saying the same thing: he made it simple, he never pushed, and he answered every question until they felt sure.
As a Team Leader, Mason now teaches new NEES team members to work the same way: know the details cold, respect people's time, and let the homeowner make the call.
